So you are stranded on an island?LUCKY YOU!!!

Today’s prompt: We’ve all been asked what five objects we’d take with us to a desert island. Now it’s your best friend’s (or close relative’s) turn to be stranded: what five objects would you send him/her off with?

Oh dear ! I just learnt that you’ve been stranded in Kaua’i. Poor, poor you! What can I send you to make your life bearable on a the rock?

Ohhhhh!!!! Wait a minute! You are actually stranded …on an island! In the middle of the Pacific, where no one knows you and you won’t have to deal with any stupid people anymore! At the best season of the year.

Ahem…

Remember last Friday’s drinks? Did not even take you a couple of tequila to open up again on your sad routine of work and sleep. You hardly see your wife, let alone your kids. The tiny little time you can spare for them is ruled by your phone anyway. Your legendary abdo chocolate bars have long turned into mousse. I know, I know, you’ll find the time.. not next week, but maybe later…

Do you remember when I asked you about the last time you really had a great laugh? A real one, not a hammered one. I am still waiting for the answer.

And now, you are stranded on an island. Can’t believe how damned lucky you are!!!

You are.on.an.island. Finally a chance to move this lazy body again, go fishing, climb up those trees, those pristine waters are all yours for weeks!

Let the sunrise and the sunset be your only clock, open your eyes and your heart, sing, shout, cry, dance, live the moment. You’ll probably feel lonely the first days, before you eventually make friend with yourself again. Then you’ll feel better, and finally content. Let your mind wander, let nature entertain you, let stress go and finally, let peace in. You.are.on.an.island, how great is that?

Looking forward to seeing you again next year my friend. Brave enough to finally listen to your heart, and strong enough to live the life you had always imagined.. Aloha and Mahalo 🙂

    1. Thanks a lot 🙂 I actually ran away with the kids when I heard about the typhoon turning into a super typhoon. All those years in the field had got me used to natural disasters and violence, but here alone with the kids, I felt totally useless and so weak without a contingency plan or anyone I know around. So I took the Attila to Bangkok 🙂 More on the blog… Have a beautiful day my dear, and thanks again for asking, means a lot 🙂
