Parenting: setting up the standards

It’s not that my standards are too high. It’s just that my Dad set an amazing example for how a man should treat me.

Roger that?

  1. Thanks so much! It’s my precious daughter actually. I have been trying hard photoshopping my (little;) wrinkles, couldn’t reach this stage yet 😉
Sometimes I look at her and it freaks me out how fast she’s growing. Marcel’s hair is already turning grey at the mere thought that some day, she’ll go out for a date! The boyfriend’d better be up to the standards 😉 Have a lovely week end my dear! XXX

    1. Sweeeeeeet 😀 She is so beautiful and I know how you must be full of thoughts about future 🙂 But with such caring mom and dad,she will turn out as sweet and golden heart as you 😀

  2. Ohhhhh! This is an amazing post! Your daughter is so adorable and your husband is so loving and caring … A true quote you wrote about setting up the standards from what we saw from our parents as we choose a mate!
Ps: awesome editing skills and photos !
Good night from NYC and happy weekend:)

    1. Thank you so much 🙂 They are pretty cool I must admit, especially when there is no sound! 😉 You are so right, our parents are our first and most marking example. And we know that at the end of the day, we only see what they did, not what they said..
Have a lovely Sunday (not sure if it starts or ends over there…Beautiful time anyway !) X

      1. Yes, our parents are so influential !
Thanks for sharing your beautiful pics with us and happy Sunday (it’s 10:30am here)

    1. I think he always secretly wanted to be a pop star and have people admire his pictures 😛 So whenever I have a chance, I contribute to his 15mn of fame!

    1. Thanks a lot 🙂 You have no idea of all you can get nowadays with the promise of a Peppa Pig for the girl and the one of a day without shopping for the Man !

      1. 🙂 Estelea, You and your family are a blessed family! I feel so good reading and seeing what you share on your blog! Thanks so much for all the energy, beauty, and love for your ‘neighbors’ that you irradiate from Cepu!

      2. Thanks so much, Estelea! The root is here, but the gardening must be hard in order to get the results. You and the family have a wonderful day!

      3. Actually you know what they say, learn French, it is much easier than to understand a French speaking English 😉 Have a Grande One!

      4. Your English is perfect! You write in English so well! I can imagine how wonderfully you write in French! Take care, my friend! 🙂

      5. I am going to print all your lovely and heartwarming messages and stick them on my mirror. First things to read in the morning, before facing the mirror 😉 You are officially my Ego Booster ! X

      6. Hi Estelea, you walk the talk, and that’s it! I don’t add anything else… 🙂 Enjoy the beach with your family. Take care, my dear friend! X 🙂

    1. Thanks a lot Joy 🙂 I am planning to do a little book with some of the ones I took this day. At this age, they are so into hearing stories about themselves over and over again… Thanks for stopping by!

    1. THanks a lot Amy 🙂 it is true that a Dad is a son’s first hero and a daughter’s first Prince! All those things you discover you re the one turning parent. They are always so proud to show their Dad what they have learnt over the week, and any word of encouragement is so highly appreciated ( I tend to become a radical soccer Mum, so they don’t really miss the encouragements from me ;).

It amazes me to realize how we are constantly nurturing those little minds. I heard somewhere that kids become what you tell them they are. I really believe it is true.

    1. Thanks for the repost 🙂 Made me smile to read that I am not the only counting to 3 in public 🙂 Have a lovely day!
