On top of my favourite bloggers is the great photographer Jithin. A few weeks ago, he launched Mundane Monday, an inspiring photo challenge encouraging us to find beauty in everyday life around us.
Here is my take for this week: a tiny gasoline station in Bantayan- a beautiful little island in the Philippines. Motorbikes here are on Grenadine !
Excellent, my dear Estelea! All the very best to you and yours! Take care, my dear! 🙂
Same to you all 🙂 Xxx
Beautiful picture!
Thank you very much 🙂 I had no idea that gasoline could be so nice actually!
Haha… my thoughts 🙂
Cool!
😉 X
I like this one, Estelea! 🙂
Thanks Amy 🙂 X!
That reminds me of my childhood. We used to live just beside a motorcycle terminal in the province and the neighbor across our home sold gasolines like that outside their house.
I love this colour. In my country you find gasoline only in stations so I had no idea it could ever be pink actually. To me gasoline was only defined by its smell. It gives a new taste to travel, feeding your motorbike with grenadine for a sweet trip. (maybe I should stop reading kids’ bedtime stories for a while they really have an influence on my mind :P). Where are you from originally? Have a beautiful day X
Me too, at first I have had no idea what that pink stuff inside of a coke bottle. Then I saw motorcycle drivers stopping at the front of the neighbors’ house across us, gave some pennies to the owner, took a bottle and poured it down to his gasoline tank. My curiosity wasn’t satisfied so I came over pretending to ask for my friend to play and that was when I smelled the gasoline, so that was how I discovered it. 😀 I was born in Tungao, Butuan City. 🙂
For a moment I was scared you would taste it 😉 I did the same, came closer enough to smell it, and it was repellent enough to convince me it was definitely not grenadine!
It was the pungent smell that kept me from doing so ’cause judged by the way it looked, it looked really yummy though. 😀
😉 better cheer with Champagne, those golden bubbles never lie! Have a lovely week end dear
Yeah, I’ll keep that in mind. 😀 Oh you too madam. ^^
Why.. why so much kind words 😉 Thanks for making me happy by saying that 😀
And welcome to mundane Monday challenge. More than the bottles, I like the way you have positioned your watermark right in the middle of the “O”. That was pretty cool. So is the light passing through full and empty bottles 🙂
You are most welcome dear, I only stated the obvious ! Only you could notice the place of the watermark, and I really appreciate that 🙂
Thanks to you 🙂
Love your photo, Estelea. 🙂
THanks 🙂 I had no idea gasoline could ever look so yummy, each time I pass by this little shop I feel like eating gummy bears. The power of the sub conscience …
Lovely colours.
yummy aren’t they?
My original comment didn’t go through:( my computer is sweating from the heat I suppose!
I love the vibrant red color in these Coke bottles you saw st the gas station ! You were able to capture colorful energy in a spot most wouldn’t probably notice! Bravissima!
Grazie mille 🙂 People were staring at me as if I were a complete alien when I took the pict and said how I loved those bottles. The seller looked a bit worried and finally told me “Mam, this is gasoline you know” . He might have thought I would like taste some 😉
Yes I bet he thought you wanted to cool off with a sip! Lol I can imagine their surprise… But it was worth it to capture this cool shot!
Thank you 🙂 I guess he ll be mesmerized at many things I never notice at home
Such a beautiful picture!
Thanks a lot 🙂 There is really beauty even in the most mundane things don’t you think? Have a sweet day!
It is for sure…
