We are blessed to be able to spend another year in the Philippines, such a welcoming country. Living here has its up, for sure.. It’s hot and sunny most of the time, and very lively. But it has its down too: it’s (too) hot and (burning) sunny most of the time, traffic is insane and karaoke far too loud for our sensitive European ears 😛
You got to understand where we come from from :
And what a beautiful country you come from! Asia’s too hot. Oh the NOISE!!!
Wish we were reach enough to retire there and travel the world when it s getting too cold 😉 XXX
You’ll get there! 😀 xxx.
I meant Rich 😛 hate this spell checker, makes my English looks far worse than it is already …have a great WE Xxxxx
Gorgeous photo!! And I agree it would be nice to travel during the really bitter cold months !! But indeed snow-capped mountains are an absolutely gorgeous sight!
It all seems so very exotic from Cebu
🙂 I need to play to the lottery .. And Win ! 😀
Dear Estelea, Yes, each place offers ups and downs. The two Little Stars, with the support of their parents, focus on the ups and have the best. Their place will always be at the summit! Best to you and your beautiful family! Shabbat Shalom, my very dear friend! X 🙂
Thanks dear 🙂 X
… And there are sooo many ups here, it’s very easy actually. Today we are going to visit a farm, tomorrow beach and never wearing socks nor big jacket 🙂
Dear Estelea, I am so glad with the so many ups there. And if something gets on the way, a diligent and very skilled Manager will straighten up the situation! 🙂 All of you Stars enjoy the farm, and the beach! 🙂 Time for flip-flop sandals in San Diego, too.
Love this message :)) have a great flipflop time too ! X
🙂 X
For someone who have lived my whole life here in the Philippines, there were a lot of times that I cannot take the heat and considering that I get too hot easily, the heat especially in the summer can get unbearable at times. And I totally feel you about the karaoke being too loud even late at night. 🙂
As I m reading you the karaoke singer is the worse I ever heard. He is actually worse than me, which says it all! 😛 on another hand your country is sooo much more welcoming than mine, so much more patient with kids and is much more positive too. Can’t have it all 🙂
I have heard way so many worse singing in karaoke lol but people must know though that karaoke is a way of life here. Awww, that is so flattering to know. True, can’t have it all. 😀
.. And tell you what, if we Occidentals were more into karaoke, we d spend less on antidepressants! Plus as you say, it’s a way of life here. Last time we visited Switzerland, I felt something was missing in spite of the great views, air and last but not least company: it was far too quiet, that’s actually why we all had a hard time sleeping the first week!! Plus the shops close far too early 😉
One word : Gorgeous
Waou, one word and you made my day 🙂 enormous thanks !
You are most welcome 🙂
Such a gorgeous image. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thanks for the chance 🙂
Nostalgie….♡♡♡♡
Bien sur une fois enSuisse je me plaindrai qu il fait trop froid 😉
Xxxxx
Looks cool and refreshing. We were of the same mind–I posted a snowy Christmas picture as it gets to 100 degrees in California again 🙂
oh, a very misleading photo/post with a Philippines hashtag?! Just kidding, haha.
#exparhomesickinthebeautiful Philippines 😉 didn’t last long though . I remembered how super cold Switzerland is, and definitely not at fun 😉
Wow, Cebu! It is beautiful there. 🙂 But i’m curious, why did you choose Cebu for your sabbatical? Thank you for stopping by theberlinbook by the way. 🙂
The hubby got a job in assisting the victims of the super typhoon that devastated parts of the region a couple of years ago. So this time, I am the one playing the trailing partner. Great place for a sabbatical, as you can see on the pic, it’s endless summer here and so kids friendly! What was supposed to be 1 year sabbatical has now been 2 years… and still counting 😉 But we ll probably move out by the end of the year, at the completion of the humanitarian projects..
Ahh, cool then! It is an endless sunmer there. Lots of sun and culture. 🙂 Wish you the best of luck in your adventure! 🙂
Thanks a lot 🙂 have a sweet week!
