From Europe with LoVe (and a BIG bit of pre-wedding stress)

Adios Philippines! Welcome Europe !

We left Cebu for good hardly a month ago and we’ve been incredibly busy since then: getting our long overdue doses of hugs and kisses from our French family and friends every single day toped with the most delicious food of the universe, and getting (sort of) organised for Da Wedding!

In cased you missed it, we are eventually tightening the knot next month.

I will spare you the stress of the wedding preparations (just got the dress, but still need to shop for the rings, the deco and guess who just realized we forgot to book a DJ ?!!!). Many bloggers warned me about the pre-wedding stress, I never thought it could affect me. I have managed bigger events in less time .. How naïve was I!

Why each time I check an item of my to do list, a new one comes out of the blue?

Why do I feel like I am the only one stressing here? Which music for the entrance? Which one for the city hall? “yes it does matter and yes, people do care!” has become my signature line with the hubby to be! Is this whole wedding thing mostly a girly thing, really?

Tell you what, I have missed you fellow bloggers! Feels good to take a moment to write again, to make space for a bit of calm. And you!

I won’t have much free time in the upcoming week yet I’ll come back here more regularly. Would you like some postcards from Europe?

Here is the first one, just for you to feel the ambiance. With one question: don’t you think we just look the same , the Saint Honore and me ?

At least I am keeping the bun. You’ll discover The Dress I chose in a few weeks … Till then, wish us luck with the preps … A tres bientot X

    1. Hehehe, if I don’t strike a pose there, then when ? 😉
Thanks a lot!!! There is a parking for bikes here, pass by!

  1. With or without the proper music or anything else you are stressing about, you will be a beautiful bride! I love the hair (and the dress, but this is not “the one,” right?)

On another topic, how are the kids doing with the transition? Probably not even noticing yet with so much family love!

    1. Thanks so much !!!
Funny you are asking about how the kids are coping with the transition. We have traveled to Vietnam, France and now Switzerland in hardly a month, never staying more than a week in the same town. Today Mr Attila Jr asked me, pointing at the Swiss mountains :”Mum, on which planet are we now? when can we go back to Cebu so I have my own bed again?” Poor thing 😉

      1. Awww, poor little baby! My youngest son had some moments like that early on, but they do know deep down that home is wherever they are with their family, I think. Good luck with everything!

      2. Yes you are right, I really think the same. He tends to become a little more needy those days but the Jewish Mum I am just loves it 😉

    1. Amen to that! I am trying to convince myself that we have all we need for the D Day: great company, great food and champagne.. And hopefully soon the confirmation of the DJ 😛
THanks dear Amanda, I definitely owe your blog a visit ! See you here or there very soon !

    1. Alokji I will make this last sentence of yours my mantra 🙂
At least I have the hairstyle and the shoes let’s look for the DJ,rings .. My husband to be is not stressed at all, do you think it’s a man kind of attitude ?
All the very very best and thanks for your kind words 🙂

  2. Missed seeing you and I’m happy you got to see family & friends! So excited for you!! Wish you well on the big day and remember to enjoy!!! ❤

    1. Hey Connie, thanks for stopping by! I do really owe your beautiful blog a visit, I will definitely pay more regular visits from Sept onwards 🙂
I am sooo happy to be back in Europe, I am enjoying every hour of this trip. Great food, great company, great weather! I could go on and on for ages ..
I will tell my bridesmaid to remind me of your precious advise, to “remember to enjoy”! I feel I could forget it very easily 😉
Have a great one, big virtual hug ❤

      1. Estelea, no worries on visiting my blog! I am happy to have found yours and connect with bloggers with happy energy like you 🙂 Oh yes, please do tell your bridesmaid because although it’s a stressful time, it’s a very beautiful and one of a kind time. I send well wishes to you. Also, it’s so good to see the positives of your journey like you said, great food, great company!! So nice to hear. BIG HUGS BACK! ❤

      1. can’t wait to see your photos too. you’d be a very lovely bride. i wanna see which dress you picked too.

and, yeah, weddings are a girl’s thing, no? 😀

      2. I guess you are right.. Very old fashioned cliche but still very valid 😉
THe dress is super simple … you’ll see it next month ❤

    1. Thanks a lot !!! We are sort of getting there 😉 Finally found the dress and a DJ… and as long as Mr Attila Sr remembers the Y word, we should be fine …🙏

  3. Very best of luck to you and congrats!! How fun that your children can be at your wedding!! That is really great. Look forward to seeing photos of it and meantime enjoy the family, don’t get too stressed and enjoy the croissants and baguettes and all the good French food!

    1. Oh yes, I totally do ! And lucky us we are nearby a patisserie that makes the best macarons and sorbets. Each time I am back in Paris, I fall in love even more wth this town .. X!
(did you receive my email re: Philippines?)

  4. How exciting! Of course you are stressed! Major, unique life events will do that to you! Even a low-key wedding had a staggering amount of details. We planned our no-frills wedding this time 4 yrs ago, and I lost at least 2 hours of sleep every night for several weeks. To make it more fun, we had 4 separate receptions out of town to celebrate with friends and family 😁 but it’s ALL worth it!

    1. Amen to that! Cant believe you had 4 receptions 😀
I had no idea organsing a wedding would be so stressful, and we are hardly 50! I decided to work on it another week full time, then let it go. I mean, all is done, the only thing I could possibly add is more stress 😛
Thanks a lot Terri for stopping by . Hope all is very well on your side XXX
