It was on the screen some 3 years ago, yet I bet you still remember by heart the lyrics of Frozen .. Let it gooooo, let it goooo… How many zillions times did we scream it with our wanna be Princesses ?
It took me an intensive Yoga Teacher training to finally understand the meaning of those words. Let.It.Go. also partially translatable in sanskrit by “Sthira Sukham Asanam“.
It means a yoga posture should be steady, firm and stable, yet also comfortable, light and delightful.
Just like parenting!
Yes, we parents are the ones to fix the rules and the frame. We must be strict whenever needed and provide our kids with the structure they need to grow as confident and happy beautiful beings. Yet, let’s not forget the essential: Don’t let ourselves become so concerned with raising good kids that we forget we already have them. At the Parents Teachers Meeting this morning, I was so proud of the achievements of my Attilas that I forgot to ask the teacher to give them more homework. I realised it on my way back home. And eventually decided to Let it Go. The frame is there, the rules are implemented, the kids are happy at school too and so are we. Let’s just relax and breath in the practice, all of us.
It’s weekend fellow parents, let’s forget the gluten free/no additional colorants/ no sugar for a moment, and let’s have cake and ice cream for breakfast! Just to celebrate our sweetness 🙂

So true – it’s always a juggling act. Be firm, set the rules, but sometimes you just gotta Let It Gooooo! I’m getting better and better at it, which is nice since my kids are now grown up – haha!
Hehehehe So i can consider myself as normal . The let it go is definitely work in progress, I feel fathers are so much better at this …
When you’re about to be an unnecessary stickler for the rules, just remember that frog from Instagram! OMG, so funny – I took a screenshot of that to remind myself to chill out some days! 🙂
So true, I should have it as a screensaver 😄
I’m with you there! Namaste my dear! 🙂
